How do I rent a Pup?
What is provided for pup rentals?
Each pup comes with a leash and poop bags at minimum. Anything else that is needed for a longer rental can also be supplied at no extra cost.
Tips for a successful pup rental
Pups must be kept on leash at all times. It helps to have treats on hand to make your pup comfortable with you! Bedding, a mat, or a blanket can help your pup stay in place while at the brewery. Just like how cats love boxes, pups love blankets! You are responsible for cleaning up after your pup while at the brewery. We recommend giving your pup time to relieve themselves before attending a brewery. Please keep pups under or at your table while at the brewery. Pups can get overwhelmed from time to time, and you may need to leave the brewery if your pup becomes too rowdy. Please be respectful of all patrons!
How do I adopt a pup?
Head over to Resilient Hearts Animal Sanctuary. You'll have a new best friend after filling out some paperwork and completing a home visit. Same day adoptions are not available for the safety and well-being of our pups. I know, it's tempting!
Do I need a Pup Passport to rent a pup?
Nope. Pup Passport is for people who want to get beer discounts at verified dog-friendly breweries in the area. Pup Passport has a handy map to help you plan your pupventures. The most common discount is 50% off your first pint. It makes a perfect companion if you choose to adopt a pup, or even if you don't have a pup and want beer discounts. Offers are one-and-done per year for the yearly passport, and one-and-done per month for monthly plans. You pick whether you want your passport to renew monthly or yearly, and monthly passports allow you to get your favorite brewery offers each month.
Can I bring my own dog while renting a pup?
Yes! If you are planning on adopting a pup, renting them for the day is a great way to introduce them to your current dog to see how they get along. People routinely bring their own dogs when they take our pups out on adventures. There isn't a specific process for making sure everyone will get along, but we are trusting that if you are taking your pup to a brewery or to a space with other dogs, then it would be okay to bring a Resilient Hearts pup too. Resilient Hearts will be upfront about if one of their dogs isn't okay with yours, so they can at least make an educated decision based on the dogs at the shelter.
